Hi, Just seeking some advice, I have always thought that the TDCI had a chain timing belt. But I have now found out that it has both. Chain between exhaust and inlet valves and belt between these and the camshaft. (Can anyone confirm?). I have seen service intervals ranging from 100k to 125k, and since I am at 115k was wondering what to do?
I have tried to confirm if my car has a belt or chain for the camshaft, as I have seen on this forum that the 2.0 diesel has a chain and a belt ( one for inlet and one for exhaust). I have seen the cam belt belt being changed on you tube on a 2.0 diesel Kuga and a 2.0 diesel Focus, but there did not appear to be a chain, just a belt.
